Here in California we have had (as you probably know) a major heat wave this week, which has brought back flashbacks of  summer… wait… I actually don’t think it ever got above eighty all summer. Anyways, it brought back memories of our “summer” and one of my favorite memories- my weekly sailing excursions/lessons with a few other incredible men. Every Wednesday I would race down to Naples to jump on board, unfurl the lines, raise the halyard and set sail into the waters off of the Long Beach coast. There are few things better than feeling the ebb and flow of the boat across the water and the wind wiping across the boat as you squint your eyes to the sunset. Below are a few photos from one outing this summer.
