Long Beach Can Jerk
A couple weeks ago on Halloween I caught some photos of a good ol’ fashioned Jerk contest. For those that aren’t familiar with the newly popular dance…it originated in Los Angeles and is pretty rad. It was one of the coolest things I’ve seen as a group of about fifty adults, kids, and toddlers in Halloween costumes broke it down on the pavement. Here are a few photos of the Jerkin in downtown LBC And speaking of dancing….check out Adam Sjoberg’s “Shake the Dust” project that will be focusing on Break Dancing in cultures all over the world.
MIKA Benefit
What’s better than an ocean view wine tasting on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Corona Del Mar? The answer: An ocean view wine tasting on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Corona Del Mar that benefits the community and people’s lives. MIKA Community Development Corporation hosted a fantastic event in conjunction with Trinitas Cellars to share what they are doing in their community of Costa Mesa. Please check out MIKA’s site to find out more about what they are doing; and more importantly how you can get involved. They are an amazing organization doing amazing things for their community and such an example of how we all should live. Also check out Trinitas Cellars for some amazing wines. My favorite was the 2007 Meritage Red; a Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot , and Malbec mix. Amazing.
Another amazing speech by Crissy Brooks on behalf of MIKA.
Casey and Giselle | Los Angeles, CA
This post is a little late, but here it is…This wedding was absolutely beautiful and I had the honor of shooting with Samuel Lippke. Casey and Giselle were so fun and the Mexican flare made it so memorable- Mariachi bands, Catholic Mass, tequila toasts, and a beautiful evening at the Los Angeles River Center. With ETrine spinning tunes, and Samuel Lippke capturing images the way he does there is no wonder why this wedding was amazing. Enjoy.
